Located behind the iconic Oslo opera house of Snohetta, it is a series of buildings that mark Oslo as the leading building center.
The Barcode Project is an overall planning Project, including a row of multi-functional high-rise buildings that make up most of Oslo's skyline. Each building is a combination of different European architectural firms. However, they combined to create an attractive combination of images, matching each other's gaps and creating a "barcode" image -- exactly the name of the project.
Each completed building is promoting the development of the idea of tall buildings. Whether they take the form of a giant staircase or a 3D version that looks like a tetris, each building has its own unique features.
